Fused Yttria

Casting titanium alloy is mainly used for casting non-rotating parts such as aero engine casings, support frames and guide vanes, and also for rotating parts such as casting impellers. It is used in the chemical industry instead of stainless steel. Due to the high chemical activity of molten titanium, the surface layer and the facing layer of the cast shell must have good chemical inertness to the molten titanium. Sinocean has developed a special shell material for the titanium alloy casting and this is called fused yttria.
